Tried one day on my lunch break, I got the gyoza and fish tacos.
I wasn't a huge fan of the gyoza, they were good but not really my thing.
On the other hand the fish tacos were freakin' amazing!
They're so much bigger than I anticipated but they were cooked perfectly, they were loaded with the cole slaw (which is super yummy too).
I will definitely be back for more!

Remix quickly became my favorite fallback restaurant.  In many ways, it feels like a place made just for me.  They have many of my favorite foods: Japanese katsu curry, ramen, loco moco, and Korean saltado, among others.  They have tasty craft sodas, a few good coffees, and a cheery setting in which to eat.  Because of their placement within the medical center, there's almost always parking available.  Their prices are slightly high, but it feels worth it for the quality and quantity of the food they provide.

There are just a few things keeping us from eating there more often.  First, and it's a minor point, but they serve their food with plastic silverware, which seems wasteful, so we prefer to bring our own utensils.  Secondly, it feels like there are fewer healthy options than I would like.  Perhaps the healthy options are there, but I get blinded by all my favorite calorie-filled meals.  They have a constantly shifting menu which is displayed on a TV screen over the counter and on various pieces of paper posted on the wall.  I would be happy if they'd organize it a bit better because I always feel like there are probably options that I'm missing just because I can't find it amongst all the pieces of paper.

But mostly, this place feels like home-away-from-home.  Anytime we can't decide on a place to eat, we always know that Remix is there and we're almost always happy to go to remix.  The food is always good; they have wifi; and we always leave full and happy.  It's our favorite restaurant in Bakersfield, and you should definitely try it out.

I'm always on the hunt for good Asian food in Bakersfield and am glad I got to try this place. It's hard to place ReMix into a single category. Like the name says, their menu items are all definitely a ReMix of various dishes. They have Japanese items on the menu like ramen, but then they have Hawaiian style plate lunch dishes like loco moco. However, they make their loco moco with potatoes so it's also kind of a mix between Hawaiian with American.

I tend to like things to be a bit more traditional but did find that the food was pretty good. I enjoyed a ramen. It didn't have the exact consistency of Japanese ramen, but it was really close. The chashu was good though. I believe the person working told me that they make it themselves. The BF ordered a chicken katsu loco moco and liked it! The chicken was really crispy and juicy. I liked the play on a traditional loco moco but with chicken katsu instead. That was good!

This place is located in a dental office area, so it's a little hidden.

Stopped in here for dinner with friends and we were pleasantly surprised by the deliciousness of all the food. I ordered the Lobster Fried Rice and it was real fresh lobster which is so exciting. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the variety of delicious options they have is almost endless. We will definitely be back to try more on the menu.
